There are a variety of beautiful styles and colors to choose from as well when you are trying to decorate with Tiffany lamps lighting. Some of these lamps are designed to reflect unique designs on the walls of your home while there are others that have very unique bases that add to your stylish décor such as flower stem looks or even bases that look like the neck of a beautiful swam. Some of the colors that you can find include gold greens violet various shades of red plum merlot and many more. Often some of the lamp bases have beautiful wrought iron accents while others have a bronze finish that compliments the unique colors that are used.
Numerous designs available - Other than the traditional looking lamps you will find many modern floor lamps featuring interesting patterns and designs. One such variety is the glass tray lamp which has a tray positioned at height level of a table. This kind of lamp takes less space and is very handy as well. You can even get club lamps with adjustable heights. This sort of floor lamp is primarily used for area lighting. For adding a different look you can pick the tower lamps. These not only give out ambient light but also provide a sculpture like look. This makes such lamps look very artistic and you will also bump into enormous varieties in this kind of line up.
If you know that your lamp is setting on a table or desk that isn’t going to get jostled in the near future then you could safely go with a more decorative or lighter weight lamp. Also the ratio of the lamp’s size to the furnishing’s size does matter. Make sure that the furnishing on which the lamp is going to sit doesn’t detract from the lamp itself.
Flowered Cones - Similar to the flowered domes the flowered cone lamps were symmetrical with the floral designs and were a bit more like a typical cone-shaped shade. Tiffany’s use of color design and shapes set his flowered cones far apart from any typical shade of the day. The Dragonfly Oriental poppy and the Peony designs were also made using the cone design. The Lily Pad Grape Water Lily and Arrowroot were exclusively made in the cone design.
The demand for Tiffany lamps deteriorated in the late 1920s and the company shut its doors in 1930. Louis Comfort Tiffany died in 1933.
Geometric Designs - Geometric Tiffany lamps were designed using glass cut into basic shapes such as squares triangles diamonds and rectangles and used only one or two colors.
